Dormy Care’s aim was to create a luxurious and homely care environment that maximised the available space and outlook over the beautiful Welsh countryside and mountains. Offering a full spectrum of person-centred care; from dementia, nursing and palliative care to residential and respite, the 70 en-suite bedrooms and communal spaces, which include a coffee lounge, bar, cinema, gym, beauty salon, sitting and dining rooms all needed to be beautifully designed and provide finishes that are tailored and complementary to the ladies and gentlemen’s needs, enabling the best possible care.
With the design inspiration of Caroline Wilson and Alison Kelly of Kelly Wilson Interiors the whole home is spectacularly designed with thoughtfully themed areas which draw inspiration from the local area.
There are special touches throughout the home and with the installation of danfloor’s Evolution, Economix and Equinox Collections, it creates a luxurious yet homely feel for the residents.
The beautifully designed Origin, Forest and Manhattan from the Evolution Collection have been installed throughout the communal areas from the impressive lobby area to the corridors, lounges and cosy seating areas and activity corners at the end of the corridors. The more tonal shades of Equinox Tones have been installed in all of the bedrooms and suites to provide a beautiful foundation for each private room. Economix, with its impressive performance features, is also installed in some of the day spaces.

Extreme durability– The Economix and Evolution Collection are certified to British Standard classification 33 “Heavy Commercial Use” enabling them to withstand high volumes of foot and wheeled traffic and intense commercial cleaning.
Appearance Retention– Manufactured using solution dyed Nylon and Polypropylene yarns, both the Evolution, Economix and Equinox Collection offer a locked in colourfast system which ensures superior colour and lightfastness even when subject to harsh cleaning chemicals.
Spill safe– All of the selected carpets have an integral protective membrane, preventing liquid spills penetrating through the sub floor,
reducing contamination, fungal growth and unpleasant odours.
Antimicrobial yarn treatment– The Equinox Collection has been developed to include Bi-Ome®, an innovative antimicrobial treatment which is designed to kill harmful bacteria including those that can cause MRSA and E-coli.
Naturally Sound absorbent– danfloor carpets have great sound absorption qualities, achieving in excess of 28dB reduction in sound impact levels, which helps to create a “therapeutic environment” in which people can relax.
