Do you want to find out more about Carpet Specification for Therapeutic Environments and earn CPD points?
Specifying materials for a therapeutic environment, such as a care home or mental health facility, requires great consideration. Appreciating the vulnerability of the occupants and their associated health needs means that finishing products can have an impact on their day to day living and independence.
Our new CPD Sessions
We have received accreditation from RIBA for our CPD seminar on how carpet can help to create a therapeutic environment within care and mental health settings; looking specifically at many of the benefits carpet can bring to such environments.
Covering the core curriculum topics of Design, Construction and Technology as well as Health, Safety and Well-being you will come to understand the importance of carpet specification within therapeutic environments looking at acoustics, indoor air quality, use of colours, trips and falls and how carpet can create that home from home feeling.
You will also learn why carpet shouldn’t be considered as an infection control risk or difficult to clean and how to identify a carpet which is built to last in such demanding environments.
The CPD session, which lasts around 45 mins can be carried out remotely via video conferencing, by our knowledgeable team.
