As a result of the last couple of years, it’s no wonder the 2022 colour trends are established around the idea of being grounded, cosy and returning to nature.

Due to the fact many of us spend the majority of our time at home, a place that is now a multifunctional environment, we want our interior design schemes to bring a sense of calm, tranquillity and relaxation.

Now although the colour trends are showing a variety of restorative and soothing tones that’s not to say that 2022 doesn’t also feature a pop of colour, especially with this years Pantone Colour of the Year 2022 17-3938 Very Peri which is a beautiful pastel blue.

Such brighter colours can be introduced into schemes by textiles such as cushions, throws and curtains; introducing the likes of yellows and oranges that bring a sense of joy and hopeful optimism and light blues and botanical greens that encompass clarity, playfulness, all of which sit well alongside the more neutral tones.

2022 has a strong feeling of earthiness, with gentle hues of brown, deep tans, beige and creams pulling through. Where brighter colours are introduced, they tend to be pastel or more tonal, all of which create a very calm and cosy scheme.

Such colours and hues bring a sense of class and versatility to a scheme and when used effectively can turn what is sometimes considered a traditional array of colours into a modern interior scheme.

Some of our ranges and colours that work well with the 2022 trends include the shades of 350 and 322 from Evolution’s Glaze range and 522 of Origin, with Evolve Taupe and Hazel offering the trend colours in a more subtle pattern. These ranges work well with Equinox Tones in Marsh Honey or Sienna which are very much on-trend with 2022 colours or at the darker end of the scale Burnt Umber also from Tones.
